English to German Junior Translator (home-based)
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented German translation graduate to join our team as Junior Translator. Working from home as a part of a team of professional linguists, you will be responsible for translating a wide variety of texts, predominantly in the field of marketing and IT, from English into German. Excellent knowledge of German spelling and grammar rules, an eye for detail and a solid writing style are essential for this role. This position would be ideal for a recent translation graduate looking for their first role in the translation industry and who would enjoy working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
What are the minimum requirements?
- Native speaker of German (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
- Excellent oral and written English language skills
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in translation studies
- UK-based with pre-settled or settled status and the ability to work remotely

What kind of work is it?
First and foremost, you will be translating texts from English into German. Other tasks might include proofreading translations, updating translations according to client feedback, editing machine translations and other translation-related tasks. Occasionally, we might also ask you to help out other colleagues with their tasks.
